MEC399   Study Year in Europe (Mechanical Engineering)   (100 credits)

Description

The Level 3 year abroad is spent studying an agreed set of Mechanical Engineering modules. These are selected to mirror Sheffield modules at the same level and to build upon the knowledge and skills gained in the first two years of the MEng degree. Level 3 Autumn/Spring mandatory modules together with either MEC313 Finite Element Techniques or MEC320 Computational Fluid Dynamics, are matched with equivalent modules at the Host University. Students are also required to take two Sheffield 10 credit language modules provided by the Modern language Teaching Centre (MLTC), one in each semester, while studying abroad. These two modules are assessed through coursework. The other modules are optional as in Sheffield and make up the remainder of the 120 Sheffield equivalent credits.
